Headteacher's message

I am passionate about learning. I learn because I want to. Throughout my life, my learning has been about me, not about what others have done to me. As Headteacher, I am now in the privileged position to encourage others to gain this understanding.

At Methwold High School, we focus on our core values of learning and teaching. We have gone back to basics and concentrate on what goes on in the classroom. We look at how we teach as well as what we teach, because if students can't learn the way we teach, then we should teach the way they learn.

Everyone is valued at Methwold High School and everyone is encouraged to contribute to the school community and to build effective working relationships. The relationship between the teacher and the student is crucial. Students do not achieve unless they are inspired, excited and challenged by learning.

Teachers at Methwold High School aim to create inquisitive, curious young people who will always have that desire to find out more. The Leadership Team and Governing Body are committed to developing an environment where effective learning for students, staff and the local community can take place.
